Is this something were I can help?  I have experience setting up Excite,
Thunderstone, Glimpse and several others.

I'm a complete novice here and eager to learn how it all works, but
is your indexing machine taking advantage of the SGML format at all?

Also, MCP have instructed me to go shopping for a linux server, and
once we have this, we'd be honoured to mirror the LDP; my long range
plan is to have MCP finance even a commercial index/search if it
is required.
